Movies to Watch This Week

Still have time for new movies this May. Here are the list of the upcoming movies for this week (May 22- May 31) of May.

1. Hangover 2
After the huge success of its part 1 last 2009, Hangover part 2 is set to move the movie theater once again. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong with Todd Phillips directing a script written by himself, Craig Mazin and Scot Armstrong. The production began in October 2010 and is set to be released this 26th of May 2011.

Get ready for another sick night and more crazy shenanigans: this time around the story is set in Bangkok, Thailand! What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.

2. Kung Fu Panda 2
With a box office success of its part 1 with more than $631 million gross earning domestically and overseas combined, Kung Fu Panda 2 is an upcoming computer-animated family film that is a sequel to the 2008 film Kung Fu Panda. The story features a new villain with a mysterious weapon so powerful it threatens the very existence of kung fu, and Po must additionally confront his past. The film is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2011.

It’s time for the next phase of Po’s journey in the world of kung fu!

3. Tree of Life
Another drama/fantasy movie, starring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Jessica Chastain, and Tamara Joliane is the Tree of Life, an American film scheduled to be in theaters on May 27, 2011, featuring some surreal and sci-fi elements, written and directed by Terrence Malick.

Through Malick’s signature imagery, we see how both brute nature and spiritual grace shape not only our lives as individuals and families, but all life.
